So it looks like the $700 billion bail-out plan is now the $850 billion bail-out plan, estimated to cost the American taxpayer a whopping $5 trillion (yes, this is on top of the exorbitant amount they're already spending to finance the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). More interestingly though, is this socialism making its comeback in the capitalist advocating land of America? Oh, and were we not once criticised for bailing out troubled companies circa '97, about the time of the financial crisis here in Asia?

Bad times indeed.



That might actually be an understatement.
